UPDATE: €360K suspected cannabis Kildare court case sent forward for trial

The update was heard at Naas District Court.

A Naas District Court case involving a suspected cannabis haul worth an estimated €360,000 has been sent forward for trial.

It was heard earlier this month (Thursday, October 3) that 18-year-old Dallandgshe Mersini, with an address listed as no fixed abode in Newbridge, was accused of being in possession of the alleged haul for the purpose of sale or supply.

She stands accused of being discovered with the suspected haul at a property in Brownstown in The Curragh on August 1 last.

A book of evidence was served on Ms Mersini and her case was sent forward for trial to the present sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court.

Defending barrister Aisling Murphy told the judge that Ms Mersini was granted bail from the High Court, but has yet to take it up.
