Leixlip
Kildare County Council has been called on to put in a phased plan to "update" footpaths in Leixlip.
That's according to Cllr Joe Neville who wants the council to use funding from the Irish Public Bodies Insurance to do the work.
According to KCC it can establish the extent and the cost for the replacement of the footpath surfaces on the main street and report back to the councillors on "potential funding requirements to determine potential funding sources."
However the council also says that previous reports concerning the condition of the footpaths there have indicated that the footpaths are in reasonable condition, are maintainable and serviceable.
