A call has been made to impose a weight limit on a canal bridge .
Cllr Michael Coleman has called on Kildare County Council to introduce a weight limit on heavy vehicles using Henry Bridge over the canal in Ardclough.
KCC says the need for a weight restriction will be considered by the council in collaboration with the "bridge asset owner" Waterways Ireland.
