Kildare residents are complaining about noise from aeroplanes.
A local politician has criticised the disruption being caused and wants a local authority to take action.
Kildare councillor Vanessa Liston has asked Kildare County Council to contact South Dublin County Council “highlighting our concern.”
The councillor says that disruption is being caused to residents as a result of aircraft noise from Weston Airport.
Weston Airport is situated just inside the County Dublin border at Backweston, Leixlip.
Cllr Liston is seeking the approved flight paths for the flight school there from August to October 2023.
She is also seeking data on the actual flight paths over Celbridge during this time frame and “the associated reasons.”
Flight paths are designated routes followed by aircraft between airports.
The National Flight Centre Pilot Training Academy, which is approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency, and provides flight training courses, is also based at Backweston.
