Plans have been lodged for a €33m large-scale housing development in Co. Kildare.
The proposed development is earmarked for lands on the western side of Millicent Road and southern side of Prosperous Road in Clane.
The planned development will consist of the construction 190 residential units and of a two-storey childcare facility with an outdoor play space area, according to Building Information Ireland database.
The dwellings will consist of 114 two-storey houses of four-bed and three-bed sizes as well as 76 duplex units of one-bed, two-bed and three-bed sizes.
The proposed development includes the provision of a link street including pedestrian and cycle infrastructure to connect Prosperous Road (R403) to the north with Millicent Road to the east.
The existing access to the Clane GAA club onto Prosperous Road (R403) is proposed to be replaced with a pedestrian/cycle only access at this location with a new vehicular/pedestrian/cycle access provided along the western boundary of the proposed link street.
It is also proposed to demolish and clear the existing Clane GAA club ball court to facilitate the new vehicular/pedestrian/cycle access to the Clane GAA club.
The proposed development also includes a total of 8,594 sqm of landscaped public open space (including play spaces); 243 car parking spaces; 268 bicycle parking spaces, internal roads, public lighting.
