School principal seeks a county council seat.

Fianna Fáil will field three candidates in the area representing west Wicklow in the local elections due to take place in 2024.

Sitting councillors Patsy Glennon from Hollywood and Tinahely’s John Mullen will be joined by Kieran Burke, who will seek a third seat for the party. Mr Burke is the principal of Blessington Community College

All three will run in the Baltinglass local electoral area. The Baltinglass LEA is a sprawling district stretching from Brittas to Tinahely.

They were ratified at a party meeting chaired by Kildare North Fianna Fáil TD James Lawless and which was also attended by Stephen Donnelly, Minister for Health and a Wicklow TD and Senator Pat Casey, who is based in Arklow.
