A café based located on Henry Street in Newbridge town will close its doors after seven years in business.
Dora May Cousins, the owner of Dora-May's Café, made the unfortunate news known on its official Facebook page.
However, she added that catering from the cafe will continue.
Ms Cousins said: "Dear cherished customers, after almost seven years of incredible memories on Henry Street, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Dora-May's Cafe on December 23 due to rising costs of opening our doors each day.
"Your support has meant the world to us!"
She continued: "I am so sorry to be closing the café side of the business, but I am continuing my catering from the café premises in Henry Street, Newbridge.
"Outdoor home catering, corporate catering, platters of all types, breakfast boxes, ready-made meals and much more will still be available seven days per week.
"To the valued staff (more like family members at this stage), you have been the heart of this cafe for so long and to say I am devastated at this difficult decision is an understatement,
"I cannot thank you all enough for all your support you have shown me and my business throughout the years."
She concluded: "Thank you and take care, Dora-May."
