Boardwalk repairs due to take place at the Liffey Linear Park in Newbridge will result in a temporary park entrance closure.
According to the Newbridge Tidy Towns Association: "Some weeks ago a temporary support barrier was positioned near the entrance to the boardwalk leading to one of the Athgarvan Road park entrances.
"A permanent repair will now be carried out by Kildare County Council, which will result in the temporary barrier being removed and new boards installed where necessary.
"To facilitate this necessary work, we understand that the boardwalk will be closed for a period from Tuesday, December 12 to Friday, December 15 next."
The group continued: "The area closed to the public will be marked / signposted for the duration of the works.
Park users can still access / leave the Liffey Linear Park from / via the Athgarvan Road by using the alternative park entrance located on the Ryston side of The Gables."
"This maintenance work is necessary and we thank Kildare County Council’s Parks Department for their work in addressing the boardwalk surface," the group concluded.
