Free walk-in flu vaccine clinics for children available in each county over Christmas

Tipperary parents encouraged to get the flu nasal spray for their children

Parents are being encouraged to bring their child for a nasal vaccine

Free nasal flu vaccines for children aged between two and 17 are available in walk-in clinics from today, December 27.

The Health Service Executive has confirmed it will be holding free nasal flu vaccine walk-in clinics for children in those age groups until 29 December.

Parents of young children are being urged to bring them to be vaccinated as the number of confirmed flu cases has increased in the past week.

The nasal vaccine is still available from participating GP practices and pharmacies.

The HSE also continues to offer children in senior infants and all children in primary age special schools their free nasal spray flu vaccine in schools.

You can go to a walk-in clinic without an appointment, but must have ID for your child with their date of birth on it, including passport, birth certificate, Public Services Card, school ID

Details of walk-in times in each county are available here
