Kildare County Council's Local Enterprise Office Women in Business Network, in collaboration with County Kildare Chamber and Network Ireland Kildare, is proud to announce the Brigid 1500 Luncheon.

This will be a unique event to celebrate and commemorate St. Brigid, the woman, the life, and the legacy on Thursday February 1st in Kilkea Castle from 12pm – 2.30pm.

The inspirational award-winning author of 'Poor', Dr. Katriona O'Sullivan will be the guest speaker on the day, offering attendees insights about her life as the middle of five kids growing up in dire poverty. Poor is her extraordinary story - moving, funny, brave, and sometimes startling - of how Katriona turned her life around. Today Dr Katriona O’Sullivan is an award-winning lecturer whose work explores barriers to education. Despite her professional success, and happiness in her marriage and as a loving mother, Katriona lives with the indelible legacy of her early years. Her book is a stirring argument for the importance of looking out for our kids, of giving them hope, practical support and meaningful opportunities.

Attendees at the The Brigid 1500 Luncheon will come together to honour and explore the legacy of St. Brigid in a way that transcends time and resonates with the spirit of empowerment and inspiration.

“We are delighted to celebrate and recognise the life of St. Brigid, in the wonderful surroundings of Kilkea Castle. It is so important to champion the values of St. Brigid and recognise her achievements.  We look forward to this and the full programme of events and festivities over the coming weeks, commemorating St Brigid.”, said Sonya Kavanagh, Chief Executive, Kildare County Council.

Due to limited availability, early booking is recommended at www.Local Enterprise Office.ie/Kildare
