At a routine checkpoint in Kildare, gardaí noticed a car making a swift turn away from the checkpoint, prompting them to take action.
Following a brief pursuit, the Naas Roads Policing Unit successfully stopped the vehicle and discovered that it was being operated by an unaccompanied learner driver, with no visible L-Plates displayed.
Gardaí with the unit promptly seized the vehicle.
The unaccompanied learner driver is now set to face legal consequences.
A garda spokesperson said: "Court to follow", which will be scheduled to address the charges related to the incident.
