A status yellow low temperature/ice warning has been issued
Met Éireann is warning that temperatures are set to plummet again this Monday night as the current cold snap continues.
A cold weather advisory remains in place for the entire country including Kildare until Friday night while a status yellow low temperature/ice warning is due to take effect from 9pm.
The latest warning from Met Éireann will remain valid until 10am on Tuesday and road users, in particular, are being urged to exercise caution.

According to the latest forecast, temperatures are expected to drop to as low as -5 in places overnight.
Local authority crews across the country have been placed on standby and primary roads will be treated where appropriate.
