Wicklow man allegedly damaged window worth €1,200 at Kildare pub, court told

A man has been charged at Naas District Court over an incident which allegedly occurred at The Croft Inn in Suncroft.

Kevin Scanlon, with an address listed as Stone Acre, Crehelp, Dunlavin in County Wicklow, but who is currently serving a custodial sentence, appeared before Judge Desmond Zaidan on Thursday, January 11 last.

Gardaí allege that on February 11 last, the 28-year-old broke one of the pub's stained-glass window while he was allegedly intoxicated.

The estimated value of the alleged damages is €1,200.

Judge Zaidan was also informed by gardaí that Mr Scanlon is due for release soon.

The judge accepted jurisdiction over the case and adjourned it to May 16 for hearing, and to also allow time for disclosure to be sent to the defence.
