A car was grounded by Kildare gardaí until one of its 'dangerously worn' tyres was replaced.
According to the Garda Traffic account on X / Twitter: "The Naas Roads Policing Unit were operating a checkpoint at Sallins when they stopped this car.
"It was found to have a dangerously worn tyre and the car was grounded until it was replaced."
The account added: "The driver was fined €80 and issued two penalty points."
