‘Getting the band back together’: Fundraiser launched in aid of Jigsaw and Kildare Irish Figure Dancers

Time to step into the spotlight!

A fundraiser in aid of the mental health awareness group Jigsaw, as well as Kildare Irish Figure Dancers, is now live.

Kildare Irish Figure Dancers said in a statement that it will be taking part in Strictly Irish Figure Dancing 2024, and added that it is seeking to raise funds for the overall Kildare Irish Figure Dancers group.

The contestants will donate 50 per cent of the proceeds to Jigsaw.

Four ex-dancers will be taking part in the event: Lily O'Sullivan, Emma Woods, Sinéad Samuel and Adam Morrissey.

This team are currently being coached by two dancers in the Newbridge branch, Ella Morrissey and Katie Monaghan.

Donations will be accepted until May 30, and all donations are processed securely.

As of the time of publication, €325 has been raised for the group's €1,000 goal.

Strictly Irish Figure Dancing 2024 will take place on Saturday, March 16 in the Osprey Hotel in Naas.

A total of 10 teams will take part in the event.
