Gardaí in North Kildare return stolen jewellery to owners

Gardaí based in North Kildare have jewellery which was stolen from a property in North Kildare.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence in Greenfield, Maynooth, County Kildare on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 shortly before 8.30pm.

"A number of items were reported as stolen.

"The stolen property was shortly recovered at a nearby location."

"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson concluded.

Garda Aidan McGuane spoke to  Kildare FM Radio Station yesterday morning and specifically told host Eoin Beatty that the items  in question are in fact jewellery.

He appealed for anyone with information relating to the theft to contact Leixlip Garda Station at 01-666-7800.
