NEWS BRIEF: Kildare County Council asked to carry out ‘urgent repairs’

Kildare County Council (KCC) has been asked to carry out urgent repairs on the 'Drehid Road' in Carbury.

The request was made by Fine Gael councillor Brendan Weld at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting, which was held on Friday, February 2 last.

Cllr Weld said that the road is now 'in a very poor condition' due to increased construction traffic.

In response, KCC told Cllr Weld: "The Municipal District Engineer will raise with the Developer and the Planning Section in relation to compliance with planning conditions on the maintenance of the haul routes."
