An update has been given in relation to progress with the playground in Kilcock.
Fine Gael councillor Tim Durkan asked Kildare County Council (KCC) for an update at the latest Clane-Mynooth Municipal District meeting.
This meeting, which was chaired by Cllr Durkan, took place on Friday, February 2 last.
KCC told Cllr Durkan: "The design for the playground has been completed.
"We expect to complete the preparation of the tender for the playground in February / March, and then advertise the tender."
KCC added: "Pending the availability of whatever playground contractor wins the contract, construction should take place over the summer."
