Footpaths needs to be repaired in south Kildare

Athy's 'generational unemployment' must be tackled

The conditions of sections of footpath  in locations in south Kildare have been criticised.

Labour Party councillor Mark Leigh has asked Kildare County Council to “repair and replace broken and dated footpaths in Ballitore village “with the works to include Cockpit Lane.”

Cllr Brian Dooley has asked KCC to upgrade all the footpaths in St Dominic’s Terrace, Athy, “to support a small estate with an ageing population.”

Also, Cllr Aoife Breslin wants remedial and upgrading work done on the footpaths at Convent View, Athy.
