School children living in the Clane area should be encouraged to cycle to school.
Independent councillor Padraig McEvoy wants Kildare County Council to allocate resources to promote this.
He wants KCC to collaborate with the gardaí and other stakeholders on initiatives that promote and support young people who chose to cycle to school.
According to KCC it’s in the process of engaging with the gardaí and will liaise with schools and students “to support and promote active travel to local schools.”
