Electric vehicle (EV) charge points could be on the way for the Circle K service station located on the Dublin Road in Athy.

A planning permission application has been lodged by Ard Services Limited in relation to the proposed development, which has an Eircode listed as R14 T254.

According to the application, the proposed development would consist of a high-power EV charging points and associated infrastructure, consisting of the following:

• The installation of eight-EV charging bays and four-charging units, replacing seven-existing car parking spaces
