A bar located in North Kildare intends to install new guest bedrooms.

That's according to a planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council.

The Clane Inn is seeking to make the changes to Unit 11, Clane Shopping Centre on the Main Street of Clane.

Specifically, the applicant is seeking permission 'for proposed 12 guest bedrooms & their ensuites (as part of Jones Bar) to be constructed on the existing first floor flat roof of the Clane Inn, and all ancillary site works.'

The date received is listed as February 21, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as March 26 and April 16 respectively.

The business information website SoloCheck.ie shows that The Clane Inn, which was officially established in 1995, also trades under the following names: Feast At Home, Jones Bar Clane, Jones', Lemongrass Clane and Maudlins House Hotel.

It has an address listed as Jones Bar on the Main Street of Clane.
