A woman was spat in the face and was pushed by her ex-partner, it’s been alleged.

The women made the claims at a family law hearing which was heard in private at Naas District Court.

The woman was seeking court protection against the former partner, who was not present.

She also said they have a child aged under 10.

She claimed he is constantly abusing her and she allowed him in for the sake of the child.

She said she is petrified of him.

Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case to July 8 for a full hearing to which the former partner will be asked to attend.
