There is increasing concern over the future of Naas Courthouse

A woman’s partner came to her home with a chainsaw, she alleged at a family law hearing at Naas District Court.

The woman also claimed before Judge Desmond Zaidan that she is afraid for her and her child’s safety.

She said she is not living with him and he is irrational and aggressive.

“He breaks things in front of me and the child,” she said.

She said he recently came to the house with a chainsaw.

She had reported him to the gardaí and his gun licence was removed, she claimed.

Judge Zaidan granted a protection order on an interim basis and adjourned the case to September 9. He said the fact that he granted the order did not mean it would  be affirmed at a future hearing.
