Gardaí are currently investigating an alleged burglary in the Morristown Estate region of Newbridge.
When asked about the incident by the Leinster Leader, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged burglary at a residence in Morristown Estate, Newbridge, County Kildare on Tuesday evening, March 12, 2024.
"A sum of cash was reported as stolen."
The spokesperson added: "Enquiries are ongoing."
