A popular baby product sold to hundreds of parents in Ireland is being recalled due to a major safety hazard.
According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), JoJo Mamam Bébé Ltd is carrying out a recall of the Silicone Soother Clip in pink, grey and blue to a risk of choking.
The bead component of the soother holder reportedly has no ventilation holes; if this is caught in a child’s airway there would not be enough air to pass around it, which could lead to choking.
The model numbers of the affected products are E2048 (pink), E2049 (blue) and E2059 (grey), and the barcode is 5054298261983.
Multiple batch numbers are affected:
There are approximately 808 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
Customers should stop using the product and keep it out of the reach of children. To arrange a collection with JoJo Maman Bébé, please call +44 333 777 4584 (lines are open between 8am to 6pm Monday to Sunday) or, alternatively, you can return the item to a store (for a full refund).
If you have given this item as a gift, please ask the recipient to contact JoJo Maman Bébé as soon as possible.
