Maynooth University to support online platform for anonymous reporting of violence and sexual harassment

Maynooth University has been asked to reopen the swimming pool so that it can be used by the public.

The request came from Labour Party councillor Angela Feeney at a Kildare County Council meeting. Cllr Feeney expressed the hope that the facility could be upgraded pending a decision on the funding of a new pool.

However Mike O’Malley, bursar and secretary at MU, said that there are issues with access and egress at the facility and safety is a priority, especially relating to children.

“We’re looking at it,” he told the meeting.
