There's a need for a footpath in Sallins

'People need to visit cemetery'

Sallins GAA rezoning opposed by local Kildare County Councillors

A new footpath is needed in Sallins.

Cllr Bill Clear called for a path from Bodenstown Graveyard to the roundabout at the Sallins bypass.

He told a Naas Municipal District meeting that this would facilitate people who no longer drive to get to the cemetery to visit deceased relatives.

According to Kildare County Council this will be assessed and costed.

The distance required is more than 620 metres and no money is available for it at the moment.
