Gardaí in County Kildare are investigating after a phone and ATM card were reported stolen from a well-known Naas hotel's underground car park.
A member of An Garda Síochana, Garda Lennie Donlon, spoke about the incident with KFM Radio yesterday.
He told KFM that the incident occurred on Saturday, April 6 last, between 9pm and 12.30am.
Gda Donlon explained that the ATM card was later used (by somebody else), and he warned people to be vigilant over online fraud, as well as warning people against leaving valuables unattended in their cars.
He concluded by saying that anyone with information in relation to the thefts can contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884 300.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating a reported theft from a car in the Poplar Square area of Naas, County Kildare, on Saturday, April 6, 2024."
The spokesperson added: "No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
