Hidden Hearing, Ireland's premier provider of hearing healthcare, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its latest clinic in Maynooth located in the Manor Mills Shopping Centre. This expansion represents a significant milestone for Hidden Hearing as they further establish themselves in Ireland by creating new centres of excellence in hearing healthcare, catering to communities throughout the country.

Former rugby legend and Hidden Hearing ambassador, Tony Ward, joined forces with the Cathaoirleach of Clane & Maynooth Municipal Districts, Tim Durkan, in supporting the unveiling of the new Maynooth clinic. Together, they emphasised the critical importance of accessible audiology services in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with hearing impairments.

Commenting on the new local business opening in Maynooth, Tim Durkan said, ‘As Cathaoirleach of Clane & Maynooth Municipal Districts, and someone who values accessible healthcare, I'm delighted to see Hidden Hearing's new clinic opening in our local area. Their dedication to improving the lives of those with hearing impairments is commendable, and this expansion demonstrates their commitment to serving our community. I welcome their investment in our area and support their mission to provide quality healthcare services that benefit us all.’

Nestled in the heart of Maynooth, the state-of-the-art Hidden Hearing clinic offers an array of cutting-edge services, including diagnostic audiology, comprehensive free hearing tests using precision audiology ACT measurement, earwax removal and personalised hearing care. Additionally, the clinic introduces the latest innovation in hearing technology, the Oticon Intent AI hearing aid, promising a seamless listening experience, particularly beneficial for adults over 55 navigating noisy
environments.

Around 8% of the Irish population suffer some degree of hearing loss, with men likely to lose their hearing earlier than women. 35% of people aged over 64 have a significant hearing loss and, in the over 75s, 50% will have age-related hearing loss.

Hidden Hearing Managing Director, Stephen Leddy commented, ‘We are always striving for excellence and pushing forward the latest medical advancements when it comes to hearing healthcare. At this newly opened, state-of-the -art hearing care clinic, we are offering specialised and personalised hearing care solutions, because we understand that it’s not a one- size-fits-all approach. Everyone’s hearing loss is unique to them which is why we tailor our devices to suit your needs.’

To celebrate this occasion, Hidden Hearing is offering FREE Earwax removal for people over the age of 55 throughout the month of April at the new clinic in Manor Mills Shopping Centre in Maynooth and at the clinic located in the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge. This service is usually valued at € 70, so make sure you avail of this limited timed offer.

Managed by esteemed audiologists Fergus Farrell and Ger Dowling, the Maynooth clinic boasts a dedicated team of patient support staff committed to delivering personalised care. With over 35 years of expertise, Hidden Hearing continues its commitment to expanding clinics and refurbishments throughout Ireland, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care in a patient-centric environment.

Manager of the Manor Mills Shopping Centre, Darren Smyth said, ‘Hidden Hearing is a real asset to Manor Mills Shopping Centre, Maynooth and the surrounding demographic. The large investment into a complete refit of the store is testament to the commitment of Hidden Hearing as a long-term tenant of Manor Mills Shopping Centre. It’s a fantastic store with all the latest high-tech equipment. I would like to welcome Hidden Hearing to Manor Mills Shopping Centre and wish them many years for growth and success in the future’.

Tony Ward and the Cathaoirleach Tim Durkan highlighted the significance of embracing technological advancements in hearing healthcare at the new clinic opening, emphasising the innovation of the newly launched Oticon Intent. Created using AI, the Oticon Intent is a hearing aid that understands the wearer’s intentions. The machine learning algorithm learns to recognise and prioritise sounds that are important to the listener, such as known voices, or those continually present, and filters out background noise accordingly. This new device will break down barriers associated with hearing loss, enabling individuals to lead fulfilling lives without compromise.

"As someone who understands firsthand the challenges of hearing loss, I commend Hidden Hearing for their commitment to providing advanced audiology services. Their new clinic in Maynooth is a significant step towards improving the lives of individuals like myself. I'm honoured to support their mission of enhancing access to quality hearing healthcare across Ireland."
