The death has occurred of Baby Finn Paul O'Rourke

Rathangan, Kildare.

Baby Finn Paul O'Rourke, treasured and cherished son of Laura and Paul, was born on April 12, 2024 and fell asleep in his Mammy's arms on April 16, 2024, under the tender care of the staff at the National Maternity Hospital.

Baby Finn was with us for just a very short time and amazed everyone by his braveness and resolute determination.

Finn will be eternally missed and forever remembered by his Parents Laura and Paul, Grandparents Brenda, Geraldine and Joe, his Godparents Alison, Joseph, Simone, Michelle, and Ciara, his little dogs Benny and Alfie, and his Great Uncle Gerard.

Finn's precious gentle spirit has gone on to be with his sister Lauri Ann in that much better place.

The meaning of Finn's name is "Blessed".

For now and forever more, we his loving parents have hearts full of blessings gifted to us by our beautiful boy Finn.

We consider ourselves blessed to have the privilege of being Finn's Mammy and Daddy.

We would like to thank the kind nurses, doctors and staff of the N.I.C.U in The National Maternity Hospital, who showed Finn such love and compassion while in their care.

We are also very grateful to Féileacáin, the Laura Lynn Foundation, the palliative care team, the bereavement team, along with the chaplains of the National Maternity Hospital for all their support through this incredibly difficult journey.

Rest in Peace.

Private family service and cremation will take place on April 19 at 10.30am in The Angels Chapel of Mount Jerome, Harold's Cross.

We would also be very grateful if you could light a candle in honour of our baby boy Finn.

Donations, if desired, can be made to the above charities.
