Traffic survey due on Slí na Sláinte route in North Kildare

A traffic survey s due on Slí na Sláinte route situated in North Kildare.

Fine Gael Cllr Brendan Wyse outlined his suggestion to Kildare County Council (KCC) via a motion at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting, which was heard on Friday, May 3 last.

He motioned for KCC 'to allocate the reserved Public Realm Masterplan funding from the 2024 Local Property Tax budget towards a traffic survey on the Slí na Sláinte from Carbury GAA to Windmill Cross in Derrinturn.'

Cllr Wyse's motion was seconded by Independent Cllr Pádraig McEvoy.

In response, KCC told Cllr Wyse: "With the agreement of the elected representatives, the Strategic Projects and Public Realm Team will undertake a traffic survey on the Slí na Sláinte routefrom Carbury GAA to Windmill Cross in Derrinturn."

When the matter was put to a vote, all councillors unanimously voted in favour of the survey being conducted.
