Celebrations as popular Kildare parish priest celebrates 80th birthday
There were celebrations in the Kildare village of Carbury this week where their parish priest celebrated a milestone birthday.
Fr John Fitzpatrick marked his 80th birthday and was congratulated on the big birthday with a cake in the community.
Fr John is a popular figure in the community and the local Carbury GAA club led best wishes to him for his birthday.
They posted: "Congratulations to our PP Fr John Fitzpatrick who celebrates his 80th birthday today. Happy birthday Fr John, continued good health and best wishes from all at Carbury GAA."
Other locals were quick to comment on the post with their own well wishes.
One said: "Happy Birthday Fr Fitzpatrick wishing you all the very best."
Another person added: "Happy 80th birthday Fr John hope you have a wonderful day."
