A number of people were injured as a result of the incident, according to one garda.
An Garda Síochána (AGS) are investigating an incident which took place outside of a pub located in Allenwood.
Garda Sergeant John Dunne spoke about the incident with KFM on Wednesday, May 8 last and said that AGS was investigating the incident, which took place at Glennon's Cafe, Bar Restaurant and Takeaway in Allenwood on Sunday, May 5 at around 1.30pm.
Sgt Dunne added that 'a number of people' were injured and that CCTV footage in relation to the incident is currently being reviewed by gardaí.
KFM host Eoin Beatty mentioned that online rumours of the incident had been circulating online, but (along with Sgt Dunne) urged anyone with information about the incident to contact AGS.
When asked about the incident by the Leinster Leader, a spokesperson for AGS said: "Gardaí are investigating a public order incident which occurred at a licensed premises in Allenwood, County Kildare in the early hours of Sunday, May 5 last.
"No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made."
"Enquiries are ongoing," the spokesperson concluded.
