A criminal damage by fire incident has prompted a garda investigation in Newbridge.
When asked about the incident by Leinster Leader, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí received a report of an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at approximately 1.20am yesterday, Friday, May 17, 2024 in the Moorefield Park area of Newbridge, County Kildare.
"No injuries were reported."
The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing at this time."
