An Garda Síochána (AGS) is investigating an incident of criminal damage in the Newbridge area.
The matter was discussed on KFM Radio earlier this morning.
Garda Jennifer Finnegan explained that the incident took place on Monday, May 20 last, in the Morristown Avenue area of Newbridge.
The incident took place at around 8.30pm.
Gda Finnegan said that the owner of a jeep discovered that their front window was smashed with a dumbbell.
"The dumbbell was lodged in the window when the owner came across their jeep," Gda Finnegan added.
She concluded by saying that anyone with information in relation to this incident are asked to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.
When asked about the incident by the Leinster Leader, a spokesperson for AGS said: "Gardaí were notified of an alleged criminal damage incident in Newbridge, County Kildare on May 20, 2024 at approximately 8.30pm.
The spokesperson added: "No complaint has been made to gardaí at this time."
