Thousands of households could be eligible for this once-off payment of nearly €1500
Thousands of people across Ireland could be eligible to apply for the Additional Needs Payment that could see up to €1,450 land in their pockets.
The one-off payment was introduced to help people with expenses, such as bills or school fees, that they cannot pay from their weekly income.
Depending on your circumstances, you could be eligible for a payment from anywhere between €700 and €1,450.
When you apply for the scheme, your application will be assessed by a Community Welfare Officer (CWO), who will look at your circumstances and decide if you qualify for the payment.
In some cases, the CWO may still provide a payment if your weekly income surpasses the weekly household income limit.
