CCTV and speakers stolen from grounds of Kildare-based GAA Club

CCTV and a set of speakers were stolen from the grounds of a GAA club located in County Kildare.

The incident was discussed by Detective Garda Shona Nolan yesterday on KFM.

She said that on Thursday, May 23 last, the thefts occurred at an unspecified time on the grounds of Ellistown GAA Club.

Det Gda Nolan added that the goods are worth an estimated total of €1,000.

She concluded by urging anyone with information about the thefts to contact Rathangan Garda Station on 045 524 353.

An Garda Síochána was also asked about the incident by the Leinster Leader.

In response, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary that at occurred at a property in Rathangan, County Kildare, on May 23, 2024 at approximately 8am.

"A number of items were taken from the property.

"No arrests have been made."

The spokesperson concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
