An award-winning poet from County Kildare has released a new collection of science-fiction poetry.
Steve Denehan has announced the release of his highly-anticipated collection of science fiction poetry, 'After Midnight, Still Warm', which is published by Spaceboy Books, a sci-fi publisher based in Denver, Colorado in the USA.
The poet's latest collection comprises of 89 poems which delve into the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of the human condition.
A summary for the book reads as follows: "In 'After Midnight, Still Warm', Denehan provides profound reflections on the self, Earth, and the cosmos, capturing the essence of being alive in turbulent times.
"Each poem is a journey that transcends time and space, offering observations that invite readers to reflect on the past, linger in the present and contemplate the future."
"'After Midnight, Still Warm' is a testament to Denehan's ability to blend the speculative with the intimate, creating accessible, thought-provoking and emotionally compelling poetry.
"The new collection is now available for purchase at Blackwells.co.uk, as well as major book retailers and online platforms."
Commenting on the book, Denehan said: "I wanted to create a collection that delves into what it means to be human in the modern world."
He added: "In my previous books, I tended to write about small things, moments in life that might otherwise go unnoticed; this book deals more with the big things, the big questions, the questions that get my brain tangled up when I think about them for too long!"
