A man aged in his 40s has been arrested by gardaí based in County Kildare, in relation to a criminal damage by fire investigation.
A garda spokesperson explained: "Gardaí continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding two incidents of criminal damage by fire that occurred in Leixlip, County Kildare in the early hours of Tuesday, January 30, and Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
"A male (40’s) was arrested this morning, Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in connection with this investigation, and is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in the County Kildare area."
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
