Items were stolen from a car parked outside a County Kildare golf club, gardaí have said.

Garda David Prendergast discussed the incident with KFM earlier today.

He said that the incident occurred sometime between 1pm and 5.40pm on Friday, May 31 last, at Cill Dara Golf Club.

A number of items were stolen from the car, including jewellery.

Gda Prendergast concluded by urging anyone with information to contact gardaí in Kildare town on (045) 527 730.

The Leinster Leader asked An Garda Síochána (AGS) about the incident.

In response, a spokesperson for AGS said: "Gardaí received a report of an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on the afternoon of May 31, 2024 in The Curragh, County Kildare.

The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing at this time."
