Tallies being taken earlier this morning at the Curragh Racecourse
Aoife Breslin (Lab) and Ivan Keatley (FG) look likely to be elected on the first count, according to the Athy Local Electoral Area tally.
Things will be tight for the remaining three seats with very little dividing Brian Dooley (FF), Veralouise Behan (FF) and William Carton (Independent Ireland). Mark Leigh (Lab) and Thomas Redmond (SF) are just behind.
This was not a complete tally as two of the boxes were not included.
The outcome will all come down to where the transfers go. This will be an interesting one to watch.
The official count is due to get underway at 9am in Punchestown Racecourse tomorrow.
