This result came from the tally which was carried out earlier this morning
Returning Officer Eoghan Ryan has announced that counting for Newbridge LEA will begin soon in Punchestown.
According to tallies, sitting councillors Suzanne Doyle (FF) and Kevin Duffy (FG) look likely to get re-elected.
Brian O'Loughlin (FF) also did well on first preference votes followed by Cllr Paddy Curran (FG) and Pat Balfe (Ind).
It's going to be very tight for those last seats with Shónagh Ní Raghallaigh (SF) a very short way behind.
There are five seats in this electoral area.
