A Naas District Court judge has made an order for a probation report to be conducted on a Ballysax man.
Judge Desmond Zaidan made the decision on Thursday, June 6 last in the case of Paul Dempsey, with an address listed as Ballysax, The Curragh.
Last year, the court was told that cocaine estimated to be worth just under €4,000 was found in Ballysax, and belonged to the 29-year-old.
On the latest court date, defending barrister Aisling Murphy said that Mr Dempsey had admitted to gardaí to being in possession of the haul, which was worth €4,760, for sale and supply, in addition to being in possession of €1,000 in cash.
She added that Mr Dempsey has no previous convictions, but has since garnered three-post convictions for road traffic offences.
Judge Zaidan remanded Mr Dempsey on continuing bail until November 7, to allow time for the probation report and for sentencing.
