Kildare singer set to perform on home turf

Talented Kildare tenor Patrick Hyland is returning to the Moat Theatre in Naas to sing this weekend. 

Billed as a “Summer Concert with tenor Patrick Hyland”, it takes place on Saturday June 29 at 8pm. It will feature opera classics, songs, popular musical numbers and much more.

Special guests include soprano Rachel Croash, violinist Denice Doyle and Máire Carroll on piano.

Last November Patrick travelled to New York to perform for the Irish US Council. Later that same month he was in  Singapore with the  Blackwater Valley Opera for a number of concerts and outreach programmes with the Ireland Funds.

In March, Patrick toured the US, performing In New York, Pittsburgh and Boston for the Irish Consulate, the Ireland Funds, the American Irish Historical Society, and the Irish American Partnership, among others. 

He has  just finished a run in May with Irish National Opera in Verdi’s Opera La Traviata, in which he sang the role of Gastone de Letorières. They had five performances in the Gaiety Theatre, one in the National Opera House, Wexford and two in the Cork Opera House.
