Part of the grounds of a County Kildare Golf Club were 'senselessly destroyed' by quad bikes.

That's the claim from Garda Jonathan Ryan, who made the comments while he discussed the incident on KFM earlier today.

Gda Ryan said that the incident took place yesterday (Tuesday, June 25) at around 5.50pm, on the grounds of Cill Dara Golf Club.

He concluded by saying that anyone with information about this incident can contact Kildare town Garda Station on 045 527 730.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí received report of an incident of criminal damage that occurred at approximately 5.50pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at a premises on The Curragh, County Kildare."

"Investigations are ongoing at this time," the spokesperson added.
