CCTV systems operated by Kildare County Council for traffic management purposes can’t be used against offending motorists.

At a Naas Municipal District meeting, former councillor Bob Quinn wanted to know if the cameras can monitor the behaviour of motorists.

He also wanted to know if they could be deployed against those who don’t comply with the rules of the road throughout.
