Glamping pods and a craft shop are being planned in Robertstown.

A planning application for extension of duration of planning permission was submitted to Kildare County Council by Robertstown Holiday Village.

Being planned is an extension to existing holiday village to include a single-storey communal building housing a craft shop, a kitchen area, toilets, showers, reception and laundry facilities.

Also proposed is a new pod area comprising five single-storey glamping pods, a camping/tent area, a caravan/motor home parking area and a standalone toilet block.

The designs include landscaping including a car parking area and a communal bin storage/recycling area.

Also included are a new site entrance off the main road and a new pedestrian entrance off the Canal bank walkway.
