Gardaí based in County Kildare are investigating a burglary which occurred at a service station in Newbridge.
The matter was discussed by Garda Shane Smyth when he appeared on KFM yesterday.
Gda Smyth told host Eoin Beatty that the incident took place in the early hours of yesterday morning at Maxol Service Station, which is located in the Ballymany region of Newbridge.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the burglary, a garda spokesperson had this to say: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary at a commercial premises in Ballymany, Newbridge, County Kildare that occurred at approximately 2am on Wednesday July 10, 2024."
"Enquiries are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
