A business has proposed a new development for the Greatconnell area of Newbridge.
EZ Living Interiors Ltd has applied for planning permission for the development, which, if granted by Kildare County Council (KCC), will take place at a site of circa 3.8 hectares at Greatconnell.
The application's description notes that this area 'includes lands within the ownership of KCC along the Newbridge South Orbital Relief Road (c 0.26 ha).'
The site is principally bounded by: the Pfizer campus to the northwest; the Keurig Dr Pepper manufacturing facility to the northeast; the Newbridge South Orbital Relief Road to the southeast; and greenfield lands in the ownership of the applicant to the southwest.
According to the description: "The proposed development primarily comprises the demolition of an existing car park and associated site clearance works and the construction of a distribution warehouse with ancillary office accommodation with a cumulative gross floor area (GFA) of c 10,801 sqm.
The development will consist of:
Furthermore, planning permission is being sought for all ancillary works, such as: drainage; SuDS; signage; cycle lanes; solar PV panels; fire tender access road; fencing; landscaping; lighting; plant and equipment; and all other associated works above and below ground.
The date received is listed as July 12.
There is no submission-by or due date listed on the application at present.
EZ Living Interiors Ltd was initially set up in 2012, according to the business information website SoloCheck.ie.
However, it should be noted that it began in its original form in County Cork, back in 1988.
Its main activity is listed as 'agents involved in the sale of furniture, household goods, hardware and ironmongery.'
